Specific research objectives were:
• To assess site salinity and sodicity based on EC, SAR, pH, individual salt and ion concentrations, and determine the relationships among these measures.
• To assess the impacts of salinity and sodicity on plant communities and some species.
• To determine specific salinity and sodicity measures that most influence remediation and reclamation success.
• To determine preliminary ranges of values for salinity and sodicity measures that may be acceptable as part of a scientifically based criteria for salt affected sites.
